Dear Journal,

I am getting worried. What if something is wrong. What if our ship blows up after liftoff. My crew and I got into a spaceship. We strapped ourselves in. We could heard the countdown 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, BLAST OFF!!! We felt a large jerk. Then we were pushed back by the force of liftoff. We looked out the windows and could see a light blue sky quickly fade to dark black. We are in space. We take off our helmets and they float around. We see the moon. It is much bigger than it looks from Earth

Dear Journal,

It is lonely being so far from Earth. Today was tough, someone in our crew got extremely sick, but we quickly healed her. It has been a long day and I’m looking forward to tomorrow.

Dear Journal,

I'm really scared about this flight. I’m scared because the ship might blow up 20 seconds after takeoff. The people strapped us in. They strapped us in tight. I felt sick to my stomach. BLAST OFF!!!!! I’m glad we had a safe flight.

Dear Journal,

I was in the clean room, working on the probe. I was having fun. My partner and I were very successful. As he was getting the directions from our teammates in Mission Control, I peeked out the window and saw the Earth covered with clouds.

Dear Journal,

As I looked out the window, I saw the Earth. It was beautiful. Clouds were covering parts of the Earth’s surface, but there still was a little land in sight. The moon up ahead was creamy white with craters. The stars hung in the sky. The gravity had just disappeared. I did flips and pretended I was swimming. I love being in outer space!

Dear Journal,

Hi it’s me! My crew and I just experienced weightlessness. It was a wonderful feeling. Many things went through my mind. But I soon forgot them. I’ve dreamed about weightlessness since I was a kid. I wish more people could experience it, but for now I will enjoy the moment.
