Asia   Restless Asia

     Asia is the most active continent of the world, especially the eastern portion. In Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, there are many active volcanoes. During the period of time 1897 to 1976, there have been more than 150 earthquakes recorded at a magnitude of 8.0 or more. One of Asia's popular volcanoes is Mount Fuji. Mount Fuji is located in Fuji, Japan. It is a popular attraction. Another active volcano is Mount Mayon in the Philippines. In February of 1993, Mount Mayon made a gigantic ash cloud. Mount Mayon has erupted more than 30 times since its first eruption in 1916.
