Colonists Had to Pay Unfair Taxes!
Because of the French and Indian war, Great Britian needed more money. So King George made two kinds of taxes. One was the Stamp Act. Colonists had to buy tax stamps and put one on newspapers, any legal document and many other items!!! Because the Colonist resisted so harshly, the Stamp Act was finally repealed! But then other taxes were placed on the Colonists. The Colonists resisted and resisted. There were not supposed to be taxes without representation!!!
