is selected by Congress unanimously to lead the Army as Commander in Chief.
July 4, 1776 - The Declaration
of Independence signed!
Dec. 25, 1776 -Washington
Crosses the Delaware and goes on to win the Battles of Trenton and Princeton.

days for the starving, cold and penniless American troops came when they

at Valley Forge for an extremely cold Winter.
