HOW TO PLAY TENNIS

In tennis you want to score points, and sets. A player or doubles team score if the other team fails to return the ball properly makes an error. To win you must score 4 point that adds up to 40 points by adding 15 each time scored. If the person gets 0 they call it love.

To win a set, a person must win 6 games and lead by at least 2 games. If the score becomes 5-5--a deuce set--play continues until one side leads by 2. In a tournament, if the score is 6-6 a tie breaker is played, if someone breaks the tie breaker then the score is 7-6. The person how win 3 set takes home the match.

The server puts the ball into play at the start of the game. The server must hit the ball before it hit the ground on the serve. The server always starts the serves from the right side, the server also serves from behind the base line. After they have scored you alternate from left to right.

In a singles match, a player serves until a game is completed. then the receiver is now the server. If the serve lands in the net or outside the receiver's court, the server has committed a fault. If the server makes a foot fault by stepping on or over base line or changing position by making a fault or a foot fault the person get a 2 serve. If the person makes a double fault and loses a turn.

After the server has served the ball the receiver must hit the ball in one bounce and return it over the net and not out of. If the ball hit the net and drop on to the other side, it is still in play.
