Famouse Asteroids,
                           Meteorites,
                                  &
                              Comets

Some of the most famous astroids, meteorites, and comets are:

                                                         Comet West,
                                                    Comet Swift- Tuttle,
                                                         Comet Enck,
                                                      Phaethon (astroid),
                                                 Comet Stephen- Oterma,
                                                         Comet Halley,
                                                        Ceres (asteroid),
                                                         Comet Kopff,
                                                       Gaspra (asteroid),
                                                      & Comet Klemola

Meteorites are so big that they don't burn up before they reach the Earth's surface. Comets, meteors, and astroids are smaller so they usually burn up before they reach the Earth's surface.
There is an astroid belt in our solar system between the planets Mars and Jupiter.
Meteors and meteorites are huge rocks, comets are made of ice, dust, and gas, and astroids are big rocks also only they have a little bit of metal in them.

FUN FACT: Cers is the largest asteroid we know about today. It is 634 miles across (1,020 km).
