Veldheer Tulip Garden - this 30-acre tulip field, with about 4 million tulips, attracts lots of tourists in May.

Tulip Time - Holland's tulip festival usually the second week of May, celebrating the city's Dutch heritage.

Deklomp Wooden Shoe and Delftware Factory - right next to Veldheers, it is the only place outside the Netherlands where earthenware is hand painted in Dutch style using Delft glaze. You can watch craftmen make wooden shoes at the shoe factory.

Wooden Shoe Factory - shoemakers make wooden shoes using 100-year-old machines and hand carving. There is also a gift shop with wooden toys an homemade fudge.

 

Dutch Village - recreation of a 19th century Dutch village with an operating, antique street carnival. The village has canals, windmills and tulips. There's wooden shoe carving, folk dances, rides and a merry-go-round.

Windmill Island - this 36 acre mini-theme park has "De Zwaan", a 230-year old working windmill - the only authentic old Dutch windmill allowed to leave the Netherlands. There is also a 100 year old carousel, a miniature Dutch village, a drawbridge and tulip gardens.
