Henry Ford Estate - take a 1 1/2 hour tour of the estate that Henry Ford lived in. Walk thru a 16-foot deep underground tunnel, peek into the bowling alley and check out the miniature farmhouse just the right size for children. 4901 Evergreen, University of Michigan-Dearborn. Henry Ford Discovery Trail - take a self-guided walking tour around the grounds of the Henry Ford Estate. For $2 you can get a map and fill in treasure hunt sheets as you walk along. Open Mon.-Sat.. 9a.m. t0 3p.m. and Sunday, 1-4:30p.m.

U of M-Dearborn Environmental Study Area - hike the nature area along the Rouge River on the grounds of the Henry Ford Estate. Open dawn to dusk.

Rendezvous on the Rouge - go back in history to Detroit during the French and Indian War, 1754-1763. Held the
2nd week in June at Ford Field Dearborn. 313-565-3000.

Dearborn Historical Museum: McFadden Ross House and Exhibit Center - these three buildings contain exhibits form the 1800's. Located at 915 S. Brady, Dearborn. Open Mon. thru Sat.. 313-565-3000.

Henry Ford Museum - 12 acres of exhibits from automobile history and the history of airplanes and flying. Many other collections of American history put together in a use-friendly way. 20900 Oakwood Boulevard, Dearborn. Open 9a.m.- 5p.m.daily. 313-271-1620.

Museum of Arab Culture - displays of Arab heirlooms and artifacts showing Arab culture, history, religion and lifestyle. Open 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday in the Arab Community Center, 2651 Saulina Court, Dearborn. 313-842-7010.
