the trip on the "Californian"
I really liked
it when we hoisted up the sail. It was so so fun! I would
love to go on the Californian again! It would be so cool
if we could have stayed on the ship for a week. I wonder
if living on the Californian would have been fun? I think
I would have been homesick. But if we could have stayed
near land, near by home. I wouldn’t have minded that
much! Anyway, I loved the trip!~~SE
My favorite part
was the cannon. It was worth the money because it was so
fun! I loved it so much! Thanks a lot! ~~AD
What I liked about
the Californian was putting the sails up. The ship was so
much fun!~~SW
The money for the Californian was
well spent because it’s a big boat and we sailed fan
and we learned a lot. My favorite part was hoisting up
the sails. My other favorite part was the cannon. I liked
the cannon because it was cool. I’m glad we went on
this trip!~~GL

The "Californian"
On December 10th, our class went on the tallship
Californian. It was a lot of fun!
When we got on the boat, we got to meet the captain and
first mate. As we set sail, we split up into three groups
and learned some more about the ship. After we got out of
the harbor, we got to raise the sails. I thought that was
really fun! As we sailed under the Coronado Bridge, we
got to fire the cannon! It was very loud! After we fired
the cannon, we split back up into our groups and learned
more. Later we sang some sea chanteys.
When we got off the ship we went to the park and had
lunch. That was fun, too. I think all of the classes had
fun, too!~~EM
