NASA's
Hubble Space Telescope imaged almost the entire surface of Pluto as it rotated
through its 6.4 day period in late June and early July 1994. This computer image
was produced using the data from the Hubble and shows distinct regions on the
surface of the planet.
This is an artist's interpretation of what scientists
believe the surface of Pluto looks like. Depicted
in the background is Pluto's satellite, Charon.
Some scientists think Charon is actually a tenth planet!
