fine. An illegal pet can be an endangered species.

If it is endangered the law won't permit you to buy it because it might become extinct. People also try to smuggle endangered species into our country. Exotic birds are the most commonly smuggled animals. So always check the history of your pet so you know that it won't be illegal.
