One of the most common pets is the goldfish. If you get a goldfish you have to clean their bowl weekly, put new water in it and feed them. Most people get a goldfish thinking that it will be easy to take care of but, without proper care they could easily die.

Goldfish can live 40 years and be up to 12 inches if the aquarium is big enough and if they are fed enough. Goldfish are normally 3 to 4 inches which means you would probably need a 20 by 30 inch aquarium.
