Tobie Smith

Tobie Smith was born Oct. 23, 1973. She lives in Chappaqua, New York. She swims for the Badger Swim Club. She is a two time national champion for the United States. In 1997 she qualified for the World Championships by winning the 25k Open Water Nationals. In 1995 she was the World University Games champion in the 1500 meter freestyle. She was also a bronze medallist in the 1650 yard freestyle at NCAA's. In 1994 she won her first NCAA title in 1650 yard freestyle. In 1993 she was a member of the Pan Pacific team. In 1992 she won her first senior national title at the P66 Spring Nationals in the 1500 meter freestyle. In 1991 she was a member of the Pan Pacific team. In 1990 she was a member of the national Junior team.
