Matt Biondi 
Matt Biondi was born in 1965. He competed in 1984, 1988, and 1992 Olympics. The way he preformed at the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 is behind just Mark Spitz's preformance in Munich in 1972 for the greatest preformance ever. He helped set a world record in Los Angeles in the 4x100 meter freestyle relay and he also won a gold medal in that event. In the 1986 World Championships in Madrid, he won seven medals. The medals he won were 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 3 bronze medals. The seven medals that he won were the most medals won at the World Championships. in 1988 in Seoul he won a gold medals in the 50 meter freestyle, in the 100 meter freestyle, 4x100 meter freestyle relay, 4x200 meter freestyle relay, and the 4x100 meter medley relay. He won 1 silver medal in the 100 meter butterfly and 1 bronze medal in the 200 meter freestyle. In 1992 in Barcelona he was 5th in the 100 meter freestyle, he won 1 silver medal in the 50 meter freestyle, and he ended his career at those same Olympic Games by him winning the 4x100 meter freestyle relay. He tied with Mark Spitz for the most Olympic medals individually won by a United States male swimmer. He was behind Ray Ewry, Carl Lewis/ Mark Spitz (Carl Lewis and Mark Spitz tied) for the most Olympic gold medals won individually by a United States male. He was the United Press International Male Athlete of the Year for the year of 1988. He also competes in water polo.
