Protection The clothes that girls should wear are a sleeved leotard with a windsuit over it to keep you warm on your way to class or a meet. Boys should wear a sleeveless leotard with shorts and a windsuit over it on the way to class or a meet, too. You should never ever wear any kind of jewelry to class. If you do, then you should take it off before class begins. Girls should always wear their hair up and out of their way. Girls and boys wear hand guards at higher levels to prevent blisters. Gymnasts also wear magnesium carbonate on their hands and feet to stop their hands and feet from slipping on the mats and the bars. You should always warm-up before class so you don't pull any muscles and aren't tight in the muscles! Some stretches are straddles and butterflies. |
