Trigger Fish

The Trigger Fish can shoot a jet of water at a sea urchin to knock it over so it can use its sharp teeth to eat the unprotected underside.

Lion Fish

The Lion Fish has fancy, long fins that contain deadly poison. The lion fish uses its fins to attack other fish and protect itself. Also, the Lion Fish is considered a delicacy, and the fins must be removed carefully as to not harm the eater or the chef.

Porcupine Fish

The Porcupine Fish can fill itself with water so it looks bigger than it really is. Its main defense is it quills, and if it is swallowed by a predator, it can choke its adversary into submission.

Sea Anemone

The Sea Anemone might look like a beautiful flower, but is really a pugnacious predator packing a paralyzing poison. When it senses prey, it unfurls its tentacles trying to grab it. When the tentacles sense pressure, the barbles, which are its "stingers," resting in a pool venom, whip the creature injecting the paralyzing poison. Then the tentacles pull the pray into the Anemone's mouth.

Sea Cucumber

The Sea Cucumber a, very primitive creature, may look like a vegetable, but really is a sea slug-like creature with an extremely odd defense. When a predator is detected the Sea Cucumber springs in to action by flipping itself inside-out! The predator sensing a disease in this creature goes away as the Sea Cucumber slowly grows back it's skin.
