Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator
By Roald Dahl
Summary

In the book Mr. Wonka , Grandma Josephine , Grandma Georgina, Grandpa George, Grandpa Joe, and Mr. And Mrs. Bucket, are all in the elevator that can fly. They go too far in the elevator into space and get stuck up there, and many problems occur. Once they get back to earth , all the grandparents want to get twenty years younger by taking one pill. But, they all take too many pills and they turn into babies. But, Grandma Georgina gets into minus land and disappears. Then Mr. Wonka goes to minus land to get her back, and he makes her a plus 300 years old! Finally, he gets everyone back to their normal and regular age.

I loved the book because of all the adventures and the authorís writing style. I also had some dislikes. In the book I loved the description of the 300-year-old lady and how she was so wrinkled that her eyes sunk in and all the other descriptions about her!! I also liked all the songs that the Oompa-Loompaís (Mr. Wonkaís helpers) sang They were so funny especially the one about the girl who ate all the pills! One thing I didnít like about the book was that Roald Dahl talked too much about the space aliens, Kínids, and after a while it got boring. I would love to meet Willy Wonka because of all his crazy creative ideas. Some of his ideas are so yummy, such as the chocolate river, YUMMM!!! A confusing part in the book was how in minus land there were Noolies (an invisible creature) and how they could bite you, but they are invisible ?!?!?!? Overall, I would recommend Charlie And The Chocolate Factory but not this book, Charlie And The Great Glass Elevator.
