The book I read was about a boy whose main problem was his mother had died at sea. He was with her. His father is a great chief of his village on an island. His father and his brothers, and the village are laughing at him behind his back. The village knows that the boyís afraid of the water because of his mother's death. One day the boy decides to go out to sea to see if he can become unafraid of water. So at the end he goes out to sea with his dog to prove heís not afraid of the sea.

My evaluation of Call Of Courage is that I donít like that the author was so descriptive of what happened in the book. In the beginning the author told you about the shipwreck and how the mother had to wait at sea until someone came to help them the next day. I also hate how the author was so boring. At the beginning after the shipwreck telling you everthing about the village and the people. The author was just boring throughout the whole book.

In the book Call of Courage, I liked how the author had the boy go out to sea to prove to himself that theirs no reason to be afraid of the sea. At the end and the middle of the book when the boy was going out to sea to prove to himself. I also liked how the author had a happy ending. How the boy made back to his village safely.
