The Phantom Tollbooth
By Norton Juster
Summary

In the book The Phantom Tollbooth there were three main characters. Those three characters are Milo, (the boy) Tock, (the dog) and the spelling bee. The conflict of the story is that there are two princesses trapped in a castle guarded by demons and monsters. Then Milo goes in search for the two princesses. He went to look for them because the two kings of Dictonopolis and another land were fighting about number and letters, and the only people who could make every thing go right are the princesses. Near the end of the book, the conflict was solved. However, I will not tell you how the book ends. I think that this book was great because of its conflict, characters, and the solution!

I liked the book for many reasons, but the main reason I loved this book is because the author was very descriptive. Many parts of this book were so descriptive that you could see what the author was writing real well. This made it easier to understand the book too. This happening seemed like a mirage in you dreams. I thought this for a reason, and that reason is that when you have a dream it is easy to understand for some reason. Not only that, but dreams are like reading a book from your mind. This book was easy to understand so easily!

Another reason I liked this book is because the author put a lot of effort into this book to make it fantastic. The author made this book so fantastic and he made things so that they stood out. He did this by repeating important things over and over. However, when he repeated everything he made it so unnoticeable. This way no one could get bored of the book. As well as incredible thought was put into this book. What made this book the best is that There was great dialogue. Every character had his/her own personality, even if that character was only in a short scene. Like the policeman, the policeman was a very silly man. He did not really care about anything, he only cared about arresting people. He arrested people that never even did any thing wrong. This made the book more exiting with all these accessories. All the good things about this book were mentioned, but not the bad thing. The bad thing is that everything in this book went not to slow or fast, but all these things were going on at the same time. This sort of made the book confusing, but I could still understand the whole plot. This book was still enjoyable to me, even though there were some things bad.

I enjoyed this book and I hope that everyone will be able to read this book. I also hope that if someone does read this book, I hope that they enjoy it also! There is so much to tell, but I can not spoil the whole story for you.
