Journey to America was about a Jewish family who lived in Germany during World War 2 when Hitler was killing Jewish people. The family heard that Hitler was bringing in more soldiers. The father left for America to raise enough money to pay for his three daughters and wife to come to America too. But the girls had to leave Germany fast because of the danger that was going on. So they went to Switzerland to wait safely. You should read the book if you want to know the whole story.

I liked the book because of the good descriptions. It was like I was right there the whole time. I liked how the author put the book together and it was not confusing at all. I did not like how the author did not go in to much detail of what happened in America. I also did not like how the mom got sick and how did she pay the bill for the hospital?
