Barry was a first class citizen on the TITANIC. He left his homeland, Ireland, and his grandparents with a man named Mr. Scollins to live with his parents in America. His enemies Jonnie and Frank Flynn had also boarded the boat with their sister Pegeen. They traveled steerage.
His steward Watley said he could see the future. He told Barry that he had foreseen the "unsinkable ship" sinking. Barry took the right cautions, like telling Pegeen Flynn, sister of his enemies, the Flynn brothers, to get her life jackets.
"Frantically he looked up and down the boat deck, the empty stanchions, all the boats but one gone on this side. The deck was slanting now at a crazy angle, like a seesaw, one end up, the other halfway down. When it dropped all the way everything would be finished. There was a sharp scream behind him". (Page 213)
He will do everything he can to save the Flynns as the TITANIC starts to sink, but will it be enough to save his and/or their lives? This book will give you those answers and more.
I thought that it was a good book. The best part was when the boat started to sink. Although it had the obvious, the boat sinks it was well written. Most characters were true to history but weren't boring.
