Do you believe in spirits? Have you ever wanted to make contact with the dead? Well this book called Missing May, is about trying to make contact with the dead.

This book is about a girl named Summer, her grandfather named Ob, and her friend named Cletus.

In this book, Summer's mother dies when she is 6 years old. She goes to live with her grandparents. When she is 12 her grandmother named May dies. Her grandfather named Ob thinks that he could feel her presence in their house. He is a nice old man. In the book Ob has strong feelings about spirits. The boy named Cletus says in the book that he has died and then he came back to life. Summer at first thinks that he is a weird person. In the end, Summer thinks he's O.K. In the book he tells a very convincing story. Ob thinks that maybe he could contact her because of what he has been through. Summer has also been having a hard time but she doesnąt think that Cletus could contact her. One of the quotes were, "What is the true mission of spirit messages? To bring us consolation in the sorrows of life...."

You find out later that he didn't contact her. Cletus found an ad in a few year old paper that there is a psychic that could contact the dead. The three of them decide to go on a road trip outside of town to see this woman. When they finally go it takes three hours to get there. When they finally get there they get out of the car. They go up to the door and knock. When the door is answered a man is standing in the doorway. Ob says to the man that he would like to speak to the psychic. Then the man says. . . . . . . . . . . .
