This a story about a fifteen year old boy named Andy Zandinski who attends school at Madison High. His mother died a few years ago and he now lives with his dad, in a apartment in Madison. Mr. Zandinski teaches at Madison County College. It starts out by Andy getting a phone call from a murderer Zeke saying that he just killed someone. Andy thinks it is a prank call. So he asked the cops to trace the call but they can't So Andy starts to investigate. He looks up Nina Klemmer in the phone book and he finds her and she goes to Madison County College. So Andy goes to her address and he asked her if she knows Zeke, she doesn't know him and he says that I got a phone call from him and it said that he had just killed you. Nina thinks he is joking around and she just walks away. Then Andy tries to ask Nina more questions but she avoids him. And that is whent the good part begins!
I like the book a lot since it started out very fast, not telling about the setting and all the characters. It made you want to read on. It was one of the best books I read. Avi did a good job on revealing the murderer of Zeke. My favorite quote from the book was "A voice replied I just killed someone" I chose this quote since it was scary if you got a phone call like that and it was Zeke on the phone.
