Do you want to read an outstanding book about a girl growing up? Do you want to read a book that has lots of conflicts? Well this is the book for you!!

"Are you there God its me Margaret. I can't wait until two o'clock God. That's when our dance starts. Do you think I'll get Phillip Leroy for a partner? It's not so much that I like him as a person, God, but as a boy he's very cute and handsome. And I'd love to dance with him........just once or twice. Thank you god."(pg. 65)

Margaret Smith just moved from New York to New Jersey, and is having some trouble getting use to her life now. She has to go to a new school and has no friends. She is 11 going on 12 and really wants to grow up fast. All the people at her school have already started growing.

One of the conflicts in the book is Margaret does not know which religion to be. Her mom Œs side is Jewish and her dadıs side is Catholic. Her parents donıt bother to go to temple or church but Margaret wants to go to church or temple she just doesnıt know to be either Jewish or Catholic. Margaret decides to do a year long report about which religion to be. She decides her religion by going to temple and church and finds which religion she likes better. Find out which religion Margaret picks by reading the book. There are many other conflicts in this book and this is one of them.

I loved this book!! I could not put this book down . This book is my type of book. Many of my friends read this book and told me how great it was and then I just decided to read a paragraph from it , and from there I could not put it down. This book was fabulous and I bet this is the book for you!!!
