Have you ever wanted to be left alone in quiet comfort? That's what Bilbo Baggins the Hobbit wanted. He was comfortable in his dull boring world. Until Gandalf a wizard and a band of dwarves showed up. Soon the poor little Hobbit was drawn into a plot to rob the great dragon Smaug.

Soon Bilbo learns of a ring that he has found that is magical: it makes you unseen to all humans and animals. With help from the ring, Bilbo learns how to be smart and cunning. He soon is accepted by the dwarves as a successful thief and friend. As the story moves on Bilbo must save his friends from giant spiders, wood elves, and greed, and many other unknown enemies. Finally, Bilbo must confront the great Smaug alone. "The dragon is whithered, his bones are now crumbled; his armour is shivered, his splendour is humbled."(295)

In case your wondering, a Hobbit is a small being smaller than dwarves. They like to eat ( six meals a day),like parties, like to receive presents, they like to laugh and wear bright colors.

There are many delightful creatures are featured in this magical novel. J.R.R. Tolkien gets you drawn in like all great authors. I suspected this book not to be too good but I suspected wrong. The Hobbit is a book for all with a vivid imagination.
