Ponyboy is a 14 year old teenager in the 1960's. He lives on the Eastside among the big Greaser gang. He is a tough kid. He is dedicated to his gang. They all take care of each other. His brothers Danny and Sodapop are in the gang with their friends. Ponyboyıs parents have died. His best friend is Johnny. In the gang are Two Bit, Sodapop, Steve, Dally, Johnny, and Poyboy. Other Greaser gangs were scattered around the Eastside. Thier rival gang were the Socs. The two gangs fought and jumped each other.

One night Ponyboy came home really late, Danny hit him. Ponyboy runs away with Johnny.

A group of Socs tries to jump them. Johnny kills one of the Socs. Ponyboy is very scared. To know more about their adventure read this great book. The Outsiders is a great book. It is emotional and full of suspense. You could not ask for a better book.
