"Stop, boy!" shouted Mrs.Izard. " Stop, you filthy fat pig! I'll turn you into something that your own mother wouldn't-don't you dare! Don't..." Pretty mean, huh? You would be scared if Mrs.Izard were yelling at you! (p. 171-172)

Do you want to read a great mystery? Try this great book by John Bellairs! THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS. It is the best mystery I have ever read. In some parts of the book you are going to close the book because it is so scary!! You would love it... TRUST ME!!! Although I should warn you that this book might have some pretty offensive things in it.

This mystery is about a 10 year old boy named Lewis. He goes to live with his Uncle Jonathan and he meets some weird people. Lewis was a boy that played baseball at school and he always struck out. The best baseball player in the whole school was his best friend Tarby. When he finds out that the woman across the streetıs husband died, in the house that he is in, he starts to get really scared. His uncle is always playing poker with a woman named Mrs. Zimmermann. Lewis never has any time to tell Jonathan that every night while he lays down to sleep that he always hears something ticking in the walls.

The next day he tells Jonathan about it. Jonathan tells him about the woman thatıs husband died in that house. After that happened she moved across the street. Then she learned how to do Black Magic! She told them that ____________________________. What did she tell them?????? What does that title mean???

If you want you find out ... my advice... READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
