Louis Creed is a doctor in Maine. He has a nanny that has stomach aches all the time. He lives by a street that trucks go down every day more than twenty times a day. They have a neighbor that lives across the way from the Creeds. The fear begins when the family takes a hike down that long skinny path down to Pet Sematary. Mr. Crandal (their new neighbor) shows them around the cemetery. They come back up and have lunch and had a normal day. Late after noon the very next day the Creed's invites Mr. Crandel to go on a picnic, Rachel pulls out a kite and starts to fly it and Gage goes to fly it and he drops it and it starts to go in to the street and starts to chase it. As a truck goes by he gets hit by a truck and dies.
The next day everyone leaves except for Louis to go to their Grandparents house .
A couple days later the cat Church gets hit by a car and Ellie doesn't know about the accident. Louis buries Church in the pet cemetery. Then the cat the very next day comes back to LIFE......
The nanny feels something is going on. So she writes a note to the Creeds that she's sorry. Then she hangs her self when she jumped of the table. At that same day someone got hit by a truck and died from internal bleeding. He is kind of Louisıs conscience through out the book. Louis relies on him to help him get through the horror of it all.
On Rachel's way home the force tries to stop her by throwing trees in the road to stop her from helping Louis.
The family goes back to the grandparents so they wouldn't get hurt. Rachel goes back to check on Louis, on her way home the force tries to stop her from coming back to Louis. You have to read the book to know the rest of the story.
