If you don't like your English teacher much then this is the book for you. It is titled Killing Mr. Griffin by Lois Duncan. This is the first book I have read by her and it was very good. This book is about an English teacher, named Mr. Griffin, who has never given an "A" because he thinks that means perfect and nobody's perfect he says.

There are five students who are the main characters. Mark will definitely stand out as the strange and in a way scary one. Jeff is enormous and would do almost anything for Mark. David is the senior class president. Betsy is the head cheerleader. Susan is madly in love with David and would do almost anything for him. The group of students decides to kidnap him just as a joke but the joke gets out of hand. The kids decide to take Mr. Griffin up to the mountains and make him beg for mercy. The students have some fun with him and then they say that if he begs for mercy they will let him go. He is so stubborn that he wouldn't beg for mercy, even to be let go. The students leave him there for the night, when they come back they find a problem.
