General Info
Soccer is played all over the world, it is the most popular sport in the world. Lets start off with saying there are 22 players on the field at a time, 11 on each team. There is a goalie, 3 defenders, 3 mid fielders, and 4 forwards. Coaches can mix that up as much as they want but as long as there are 11 players on the field for each team it is okay no more, no less.
The field is 100yd by 50yd and is divided into many parts such as the half line, the goalie box and there is also a circle in the center of the field which is the line the team without the kick off has to stand behind.
Another rule is that you can not touch the ball with your hands only the goalie can do that, only while he/she is inside the goalie box. There, the goalie can do almost whatever they want except foul the other teammates.
There are also some other rules for the other players on the field, such as they can never touch the ball unless the other team kicks it out of bounds, when that happens the other team makes a throwin that consists of bringing the ball over your head and throwing the ball into bounds without, allowing either of your feet to leave the ground.
There are also fouls as there are in all other games. That means that you can not elbow other people, grab other people or trip other people but you can slide tackle and use your shoulder to nudge people. The goalie can do a lot of things to get the ball such as knee people, push people, ram, and just grab the ball and hope not to be kicked if you kick the goalie it will be called goalie charging and the other team will get a free kick, but if the team defending does a hand ball or foul in the goalie box the attacking team gets a one on one kick with the goalie.
