Meet Susan Butcher
Meet four time Iditarod
winner, Susan Butcher. Her first place finishes include 1986, 1987,
1988, and1990. The thirty four year old came to Alaska in 1975 from
Colorado to work on a musk ox farm. In 1977 she met Joe Reddington
Sr. and trained with him for her first Iditarod in 1978. Susan lives
north of Fairbanks with her husband, David Monson, the 1988 winner of
the Yukon Quest.
