My name is Phyllis Seeba and I teach fourth grade at Bear Valley Elementary School in Anchorage, Alaska. I moved to Alaska 10 years ago from California with my husband, Del. We fell in love with Alaska when we came up to visit one summer. I have been following the Iditarod as a volunteer and an educator. I worked at the McGrath checkpoint in 1993 and flew to Nome for the end of the race that same year. I have three dogs of my own and have just started mushing on the trails around Anchorage. My other hobbies are skiing, skijoring, running, quilting, and I love to read. We would love to hear from you with your thoughts and questions about our project and the Iditarod. seeba_phyllis@msmail.asd.k12.ad.us
