During the year Nome has many festivities. The most famous of them is the finish of The Iditarod. It also has The Sea Ice Golf (played on the frozen Being Sea), a polar bear swim over Memorial Day, a midnight sun festival and much, much more. Flights to and from Russia are popular because it is only a one hour plane trip.
