Hi I’m the Lanternfish

I am found in all oceans, including the Arctic to the Antarctic.Usually we live in the middle ocean depths between 300 and1200m (1000 to 4000 ft.). I measure 6.5 to 10 cm (2.5 to 4 in.) in length. I have light organs on my head and body, that’s how I got my name.
