The Mako Shark

The Mako Shark is a tough swimmer.It spends most of its time closeto shore with its big dorsal fin out of the water. It can swim down to depthsof at least 1300 feet. It can also swim up to 60 mph. It eats fish such asMackerel,Herring, and Tuna. It is not dangerous to humans. The shark givesbirth to pups that are 60 to 70 centimeters long. The teeth of a mako arevery large compared to normal size sharks. The males are smaller than thefemales, which can be 13 feet long.
