The Horn Shark

The Horn Shark is in a part of a group calledthe Bullhead because they have ridges on top of their eyes. They are found inthe Pacific and Indian Ocean, where they live in shallow waters. Theypush themselves around the water with their pectoral fin. Their tail swingsback and forth in a slow beating way. They can travel about 500 miles togo to the place where they're going to go and breed. Horn Sharks are notvery fast so they sometimes are not able to run away from their enemies. Peoplewill sometimes tease them because they are so slow, so these sharks willbite back. Horn Sharks are killed because of their spines. With their spinesthey make all kinds of jewelry to sell for a high amount of money. Itsfavorite food is purple sea urchin. This food stains its teeth and spines.Itsteeth are blunt so they can chew their food and break through its food. Its favorite resting spots are in caves and between rocks.
