Hammerhead Shark

The hammerhead's eyes and nostrils are found at the end at the ends of his unusually shaped head. The hammerhead ranges in sizes. For instance, if a hammerhead is 5 feet long it is called a bonnethead, a hammerhead that is 20 feet long is called a great hammerhead.

On some occasions a hammerhead will attack a human. The hammerhead shark will attack if it is hungry and if it feels that it is in danger.

A female Hammerhead can lay up to 40 pups at one time and a larger female hammerhead can even lay more at a time.

Hammerhead sharks travel in schools. I think that they travel schools so that they can protect each other.

A hammerhead is considered auspicious and a messenger bringing a good sign from the sea.
