Leonardo Da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452 in Italy. He was raised by his father who was a business man and never saw his mother because she was a peasant. When Leonardo was 8 years old, his father took him to a workshop for artists. Leonardo lived with the owner of the shop and cleaned up after everyone that came to work. He started painting when he was twenty years old. Raphael admired Leonardo's work and painting.

Leonardo was not only a painter but studied science, math, the anatomy, botany, astronomy and geology. He invented an early airplane, worked on a submarine, and tried to make wings. Some of Leonardo's famous works were the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper

Leonardo is the leader of the Ninja Turtles. He does not play around when he is working because he feels you can get hurt if you don't pay attention. He likes to to eat pizza, rice, salad, apples and fish. Leonardo is also called Leo or Leon. Leo likes the color blue. Leo uses katanas as his weapons. He likes to goof around with Rapael when he has nothing to do.
