Donatello's real name is Donato di Betto Bardi. He was a great Italian sculptor of the past. He was born in Florence, Italy. He might have been the 1st to have done modern sculpting. Donatello's father was a wool comber. Some of his artworks were the statues of St. Mark and St. John. Donatello went to Rome to see a friend that would help him to study. His friend, Filippo Brunelleschi,was an architect. Donatello tried to make his works look real. Donatello made the first David statue made out of bronze which he worked on from 1430-1435.

He likes to invent things, work on computers, likes math and science and likes to fix things. He likes the color purple and his weapon is the bo which looks like a spear without a point. He likes to listen to classical music . His nickname is Don. He does not like to fight when there is a problem. He would rather talk it out then fight. He likes to work where there is peace and quiet.
