In this section you will learn how to type up your WEB PAGE! You will also learn how to see what it looks like on the internet.
First, to type up your WEB PAGE, you need to open up your TEXT EDITOR... in Windows, NOTEPAD; in Macintosh, SIMPLETEXT.
Open a new file.Type in the angle bracket that points to the left. Angle brackets look like this, < >, and are the two arrows that are over top of the comma and period keys. After the first bracket, in capital letters, type HTML,and type in the angle bracket that points to the right.
Then push return twice. From now on I will refer to the angle bracket's as the left and right angle bracket's. This is a left angle bracket...<.Type in your left angle bracket and type, in capital letters, HEAD, and type in your right angle bracket.
Type return once and then type in your left angle bracket again. Now type, TITLE, in capital letters, and then type in your right angle bracket. Now type in your title the way that you want it all to look on your WEB PAGE and then type in another left angle bracket.
Now type in a front-slash, / , and type in TITLE in capital letters and then a right angle bracket. Push return once and then type in a left angle bracket, a front-slash, and then HEAD in capital letters. Then type in a right angle bracket. Push return twice.
Type in a left angle bracket and then type BODY BGCOLOR="(color code)" TEXT="(color code)" and then your right angle bracket. Be sure to remember your quotes and to type in capital letters.
Now push return once and then push your left angle bracket and type LEFT, CENTER, or RIGHT in capital letters depending on where you want your title to appear on the screen. Now push your right angle bracket and then push your left angle bracket again. Next type a capital "H" and then a "1" right beside it. Then type your title again and make sure you type it like you want to see it on the internet. Type a left angle bracket, a front-slash, /, H1 again and then a right angle bracket.
Now type a left angle bracket and another front-slash. Type LEFT, CENTER, or RIGHT in capital letters depending on which one you chose earlier.and then a right angle bracket. Next type retern twice and type up your body.
To get a space after each paragraph, type <BR> before you type the paragraph. At the end of the web page type </BODY>, push return, and then type </HTML> and guess what...YOU NOW KNOW HOW TO TYPE UP A WEB PAGE!!!!
You may look at what your progress looks like on the internet at any time during typing your page. All you have to do is save your progress and close your text editor window.Make sure you do not quit youur text editor! Now simply open your internet access, go to open file, and open the file that has the word(s) that you saved it as. You may now look at what your page will look like on the web. Also, when you save your page, type .html at the end of the word or words. Finally, type up another page for each subject. Well, I guess that's it, HAPPY TYPING!!!!
