Penguins are stout, short legged birds who simply cannot fly, but are excellent swimmers.
Like all penguins,the blackfooted
penguin is an expert swimmer and diver.
Unlike other species, however,it eats
only fish-that is, 1 pound each day.
The rockhopper penguin is a crested
bird who moves on land and ice
by hopping upright on both feet.
Largest of all living penguins,
the emperor penguin grows to
4 feet in height and weighs as
much as 90 pounds!
