Polar Bears-or, Thalarctos Maritimus, live here in the Arctic. They can be 11 feet long, and weigh more than 1,500 pounds. That's almost a ton! They can get around quickly too, because they have fur on the soles of their feet. That fur provides tread against the ice so they don't slip.
