Size

They stand 40 to 64 cm (16 to 25 in) height.

Weight

Gibbons can weigh up to 8 kg (about 17lbs).

Description

Their coat is dense and shaggy and ranges in color from black to brown or gray, varying greatly even within species. They are long-armed apes. Gibbons have the longest legs of any apes and can run with agility, holding their arms in the air.

Food

They feed mainly on fruit.

Habitat

They live in rain forests from northeastern India to Borneo.
