Skydiving is one of the extremist sports
you can do. In this sport you are strapped to a parachute and jumping
out of a plane at speeds reaching 200 mph! If you have felt the force
of wind through an open car window, you can imagine the force of air resistance
at such a speed. There are many different free fall maneuvers.
Here are a few basic maneuvers. The Reverse Arch is a maneuver where
you arch your back. This will take you 80 mph. The French Frog
is a maneuver that you spread your arms and legs apart (like a belly flop).
This position can let you fall up to 100 mph. The RW Stable is a
falling position where you bend your arms and legs over the back of your
body. This maneuver lets you fall at 150 mph. Last but not
least, the fastest maneuver of them all, The Dive. In this position
you put your hands down by your side and fall head first. You can
reach speeds up to 200 mph!! WAY COOL!
As you can see skydiving is a great extreme sport, but only the brave survive.
