Palomino

The Palomino stands between 14.1 and 16 hands high(1 hand = 14 inches). The color of the Palomino is a gold coat of a newly minted coin and maybe three shades darker or lighter. The mane and tail are a shining white and must not contain more than 15 percent dark hair. There weight is approximately 1100 pounds.

Arabian Crosses

Although purebred Arabians are never Palomino, they are frequently used as a cross to produce that color.

Registration

A Palomino has very strange blood lines. The blood lines are Quarter Horse, Arabian and/or Thoroughbred blood lines.
