Yoda's past is steep in mystery. During the Jedi Holocaust Yoda fled to the marshy swamps of Dagobah. He has taught Jedi for over 800 years. His hands likewise were claws. He was green skinned with large bulbous eyes. By the time the Jedi master met Luke Skywalker he was already 900 years old, walking only with the aid of a gimmer stick. Yoda's home was built of mud, sticks, stones and other natural items. His windows were made of transparent gems. Yoda lived near a lake where he could listen to the lulling sounds of the rain. He ate fruits, plants, and fungi, sustaining on the things nature offered. One of his more famous students had been the reckless Obi-Wan Kenobi. Obi-Wan was one of the only ones who survived under Emperor Palpatine's rule. Another Yoda-trained Jedi who survived the Emperor's rule was Brand, who escaped with his life-but not his limbs. Yoda was one of the best Jedi teachers on his side of the galaxy.
