Luke Skywalker is the son of Anakin Skywalker and brother to Princess Leia Organa Skywalker Solo. At birth he was separated from his sister to protect them from the evil Empire. He grew up on a moisture farm on the desert planet Tatooine.Traveling with Obi-Wan, Han, and Chewbacca to Alderaan, to deliver the Death Star plans they discover that the planet has been blown to smithereens. After rescuing Leia, Luke joins the Rogue Squadron and begins the assault on the Death Star. Using the force, Luke destroys the Death Star. On the planet Hoth, Luke is instructed by the spirit of Obi-Wan to go to the jungle planet Dagobah. On Dagobah, trains in the ways of the force. He receives a vision of the future. He sees Leia, Han, and Chewbacca in trouble on Bespin. He travels to Bespin and finds Han in carbonite, Leia and Chewbacca being guided away by Stormtroopers, and worst of all Darth Vader. Darth and Luke battle and Vader reveals his dark past. While battling Luke looses his right hand. Near shock from the loss of his hand as well as learning the fact that Vader is his father, Luke falls down a shaft that is over a mile long. He finds himself hanging on to a weathervane miles from land. Luckily Leia rescued him. Later in life Luke confronts Vader and is nearly killed by Emperor Palpatine. Darth Vader kills Palpatine, sacrificing his life to save his son's. Luke is now a Jedi master and has trained many Jedi.
