Darth Vader, once known as the ruthless pilot Anakin Skywalker, was once the young Jedi trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi. Obi-Wan thought he could teach Anakin just as well as Yoda had taught him, but he was wrong. Anakin became frusterated and turned to the Dark Side. In a final attempt to save Anakin, Obi-wan tried to pursuade him. Anakin resisted and drew his lightsaber.fell into a molten pit and he was scared for life and could only have his life sustained in a black suit. Obi-Wan lost his pupil and the Empire took over Skywalker, now Vader. Vader became the Emperor's right hand, he helped the Emperor hunt down and destroy all the Jedi. This time period was known as the Jedi Holocost. Obi-Wan and Yoda found hiding places, Yoda in Degobah, Obi-Wan on Tattooine. Darth Vader soon realized he had a son. A bit later he took his son to his master, the Emperor. Luke had to duel with his father and eventually overcame him. The Emperor was very pleased that Luke had released his anger and finished his journey toward the Dark Side. Though he was not pleased that Luke decided not to turn to the Dark Side. The Emperor released his Dark energy bolts on Luke, Luke was now begging his father to save him. Vader saved Luke, taking the bolts himself. Vader spoke his last words to Luke, "You were right. Tell your sister, you were right." And then he died.
