Before any kind
of athletic sport you must stretch. Stretching loosens your
muscles so that they are not injured.
NYO is like any other sport. You need to
stretch all the different muscles. When we went to an NYO
demonstration, some of the stretches we did were: neck
rolls, leg stretches, side stretches, arm stretches, and
waist stretches. We also found out that jump roping is great
for strengthening your leg muscles.
Before trying any of these events, make
sure that you are warmed up!
