OUR TIPS PAGE

This is our tips page. On it, we will tell you some common problems, as well as give you solutions for them.

Problem: Birds of prey/cats are always eating the birds that come to our feeder.
Solution: Always watch out for birds of prey and place your bird feeder near brush but not too near because of cats so that the birds can hide there.

Problem: There are no birds at my bird feeder.
Solution: Your neighbor might have put up a feeder and the birds may have liked better than your feeder. Uh-Oh. The only thing you can do is put the feeder farther away from the neighbors.
Another problem could have been that its the wrong time of day. Some people swear that they watch their feeders all day, but you and I know that they don't!

Problem: Birds are crashing into my window and dying (poor poor birdies).
Solution: You can buy a merlin silhouette at stores, or since we're nice you can
print one out! A silhouette is a black piece that looks like a hawk and scares them away.

Problem: You have grackles at your feeder.
Solution: Put a piece of paper on the feeder and leave it there until the grackles go away. There is a picture of this technique at the top.
